June 13 2006: osGallery project starts
June 18 2006: wysiwyg implimentation and admin cp and login is in barebone state.
Jan 22 2008: I forgot about osgallery? but i added a ton of cool features today!


Project Goals:
1) all-at-once. this is what is on there now. details only on mouseover and it tries to fit as many as it can on a page at once.
2) slideshow. this will allow the user to have 5 thumbs at the bottom and 1 large at the top and cycle through. will aslo have auto cycle. info about pics will only be below the large one
3) list. basic grid. info on picture will be right below it.
4) details. just like crux 1. boring details right next to it.
5) wysiwyg admin panel
6) delete images
7) EXIF data
8) batch resize tools
9) landing page stuff
10) private sections
11) other themes
12) installer
13) docs
14) edit pics title/details in admin pannel
15) flickr import/export
16) better wysiwyg (and simplier)
17) crop, resize, and rotate ui tools for admin

21) make dynamic folders (not fs ones only)
22) add license inforation to images (gpl, private, cc, whatever)
23) add easy "print" features (like snapfish shit)
24) GD and mod_rewrite options so people with ghetto hosts can use this thing
25) comment system
26) automatic theme switching for mobile devices (iphone n such -- partialy complete)
27) upload features inside of wysiwyg
28) add quick edit for image titles in details view
29) allow admin to set a specified folder thumb image
30) blog import from blogger, myspace, livejournal, wordpress, etc
31) add recursive permission checks for protectded directories
32) add individual private directory permision and additional user system
33) add ftp control to file manager as an option instead of chmoding
34) admin sections: password change, global config, blog, dynamic dirs, cleanup, packages, upload
35) replace and consilidate js libraries to use yahoo ui or dojo
36) use mootools tooltips (or whatever global js kit is being used)
37) add custom watermark

Bugs
1) wysiwyg image editing bugs
2) constrain resize bugs in IM code
3) replace all mysql_escape_string with $db->escape
4) cleanup session code
5) comment js code loading buggy in IE

as for copyrights: no portion of this website may be sold or used in any way. the source coded provided from the source releases are GPL, so for GPL go look at the license. the images on this website are all creative commons licenses, but you must get them from their sources. try everystockphoto.com.
